Summary0001391: Boot failing issue
DescriptionIt shows boot animation then block screen and log shows it crash.
Our factory report the issue that fail rate is 5/1753 pcs = 0.29%
SW version is 19.531.20

According to log, there are tombstone file. Can you give us ?
"10-12 19:27:21.437 545 - E /system/bin/tombstoned Tombstone written to: /data/tombstones/tombstone_06"

After checking tombstones, I will discuss it with SPTEK.

Hi Wooshin,

It's report by factory and FW is user build, so it can't access by console.
And re-update FW will resolve this issue, so this NG board is repaired.
I'll request factory try use keep_data and re-update to user debug when issue happens.

Hi Wooshin,

Based on the information from https://172.18.223.170/vaas/view.php?id=1398, we think this mantis is related to mantis 1398.
We found during setupwizard is displayed, if the Power key of Front Panel or RCU's power key (RUC Top right button or Top middle button) is pressed, the SKB Login UI will shows up. It will generate /data/user/0/com.skb.tv/app_xwalkcore/icudtl.dat.
So, if box is powering off during pressing Power key of Front Panel or RCU's power key, it will cause black screen issue.
Also, we think the SetupWizard should not be bypassed with any mehtod.

So, we need your help to ask SPTEK to add protection code about not to run SKB login UI when Power key of Front Pannel or RCU's power key is pressed before SetupWizard is finished.
Please also add this proctection code for Eagle project.

Current Wrong Behavior:
1. Stay in SetupWizard.
2. Press Power key.
3. SKB Login UI is displayed.

Expected Behavior:
1. Stay in SetupWizard.
2. Press Power key.
3. Still in SetupWizard (com.skb.tv should not run to avoid generate icudtl.dat).

 Hi Wooshin,

I did some tests on latest daily build image in http://altserver01.iptime.org/release_by_fxn/swan_nightly/SD_IMG/BFX-UA300_20211223_SD_v532r17_D344/.
I think SPTEK does not fix it. They only avoid to regenerate icudtl.dat when using "pm clear com.skb.tv".

I did the following tests:
1. In google Setupwizard, if I press "power" button of front panel, it still show SKB login UI and icudtl.dat is generated at this moment.
2. If I replace the incorrect icudtl.dat of mantis1398 into SWAN (to simulate power off in generating icudtl.dat), com.skb.tv app still fail to initialze and UI will be black.

So, please at least ask SPTEK to avoid entering login UI(or to avoid generating icudtl.dat) while pressing power key before Setupwizard is finished.

SPTEK recognizes two file is same if two file's size is same. So it is not recovered if you replace it to your file.

Hi Wooshin,

For this issue about our request to block power key in setupwizard, I think SPTEK already committed the code and our test result is ok for their commit.
But for the protection of icudtl.dat file, I think we can not do any code change to help it. It need SPTEK to fix it. So, I think we can close this issue.
If you need any help to verify SPTEK's fix about protecting icudtl.dat, please just tell us directly.
